Guest Xantia_Dude Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Hi! I need to disconnect the battery negative lead on my 1.9TD 1994 Citroen Xantia SX in order to carry out some work on it. I have disabled the alarm with the key under the bonnet and everytime I disconnect the battery, the alarm sounds! The alarm is very quiet even when I reconnect the battery, however when I switch the alarm back to the "on" position with the key thing under the bonnet, it goes to FULL volume(im guessing this shows that the alarm key switch works ). Whilst the alarm is sounding very quietly and making strange noises, I have to lock and unlock the car with the remote and then turn the alarm key switch to the "on" position which gives a very loud "chirp", in order to get it to shut up. PLEASE PLEASE help me if you can as I am unable to disconnect the negative lead! THANKS in advance! *UPDATE* OK, now it trigger as it should, but i cant get the damn thing to shut up even when following all the correct procedures such as the remote, and ignition and switch thing!! Please help CHEERS Quote
