Guest stuck Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 My Jan 78 diesel xantia has served me well til now but both i and main dealer now at wits end. There appears to be an intermittant fault on the immobiliser (not the key pad version) so that on putting the key in the ignition the immobiliser light flashes on and there is a ongoing beep and car won't start as immobilisor kicks in.Local auto electician says unable to help so had to go to main dealer. First the transponder was replaced. Got car back and problem recurred next day. Secondly the relay was replaced and guess what problem recurred next day. Now really desperate. To strip and trace all wiring would cost more than car worth but otherwise car seems good. The fault cannot be replicated when car is wired up to their computer.Did have new battery few weeks before this problem started but dealer says this not the problem. Please can anyone help. Quote
