On earlier models, Citroen use a buna sleeve which is compressed onto the tube by screwing the threaded nut into the body of the hydraulic fitting. These sleeves are generally re-useable, although inspect carefully before using, and remove any shredding to prevent contaminating the system.

Mind you, the need to replace an hyraulic tube on a Citroen is very rare. In 32 years I have only had 2 breaks, one of which I caused myself while removing the rear accumulator sphere on my Xantia. The other was a fatigue failure in the rear brakeline of an ancient DS.

These days, my first preference would be to re-join a break using a Gyrolock stainless compression fitting.
