i posted last year that my c5 was not very well :( after clearing out my garage the citroen just fits in, im now in the process of stripping it down so i can remove the gearbox and send it off for repair. i will be doing this on nights, local garage says its a five hour job to remove box, im pretty sure it will take me longer than that!!

so far i have removed the front bumber (was virtually off any way, guy that did my cambelt dint tighten screws so most came out on a trip to france) removed front wheels, was all ready to remove driveshaft only to find that i dont have a socket big enough!! trip to local car shop as i need one

ill post some pics up when i get the chance and if any one is remotly intrested i will keep this thread updated??

Yes Please, -- Always good to have photo essays of peoples work, better than Haynes manuals in some respects. Look forward to seeing them.

just went to remove the driveshafts, only to find out that the 32mm socket (recomended by halfords) is the wrong size :( so does any one know the size of the socket i require??

as i could not do that i thought i would drain the box down raedy for tomorrow, only to find that there was only about 200ml of oil in!! maybe if the bloody grease monkey i had taken it to 6 months ago had bloody checked it i would not be doing this now??

any way i removed air filter, battery, spedo sensor and clutch slave cylinder, (still need to remove the starter motor) Tomorrow, hopefully, if i get the correct size socket for the driveshaft i shall tackle this.

after driveshafts i can only see six bolts that hold the gearbox in.

bit of a wast of time getting changed into my work stuff :( my little rachet was just not up to the job and its now borken. however ebay to the rescue and have just ordered myself a 15 inch breaker bar  only problem is that its not going to be here for a few days. oh well may have to do some polishing on my "spare" camshaft cover for my fiat.
