manj Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 hi i have a 1.9td i have a problem with the rear end coming up.it has been like this for a while.most of the time it is fine now and again it will not come up but if you raise the height to maximum it would come up.recently it has got worse even if you raise the height it will not come up, the front end comes up you can hear the pump working but as soon as the front is up the pump slows down and starts to click.if you leave it for a few hours and then start the car the rear end will go up. is this a blockage in the pipes? i am new to citroens so any help will be much appreciated. lljungberg Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 This is probably due to a known weakness of the Xantia. There is a rod and a plastic "knee" linking the height sensor to the wheels. This is known to both sticking and popping of, use a lot of oil (e.g. WD 40) and make sure the plastic knee is in place, secure it with plastic straps if necessary. Quote
