Andy999 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Hi.The speedo on my 2002 Xsara dosen't appear to show the correct speed I am travelling. When compared with my Sta-Nav, it indicates 35mph when travelling at 40, 60, when travelling at 75. Any ideas what could be wrong? Would it be an easy fix, or need to go nto a garage? Cheers. Quote

Possibly a bad contact at the speed sensor (If I remember right its somewhere near the diff unit on the gearbox) System works on very low voltages so any slight dirt or corrosion or cable chafing could have the needle being erratic. May possibly be a speedo head problem but best to check the simple stuff first. Not had the vehicle jump started lately have you? Quote
