ColinC1 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Was in my Citroen dealership yesterday, and was looking at a new C1 in the showroom, all nice and shiny. I took a look at the door seals on a four door C1, these seals are on the body of the car, that stop the door leaking, you know what I mean. The seals are definately a bit thicker than mine (a one and a half year old model) I would say they are at least 2 or 3 mm thicker (sticking out) I just wonder if this gives better compression of the rubber, because that is the problem. I asked the salesman if these were new type seals, as the existing ones are awfull. He said he was not aware of a change, and there is no recall. This reminded me of someone on the site saying the seals seemed thicker on the lattest models due to how they now install them in the factory (pushed on instead of hammered on, I think  ). I wonder if they have been modifiying these seals on the quiet for the 08 models, to sort out the problem that a lot of previous owners like me had, ie, drips coming in  Next time you are in the dealer take a look at an 08 model, and see what you think.
