Guest ctd Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Just thought i'd comment on what a fantastic and informative forum this is. Some of your problems i have experienced and some i haven't. I'm the proud owner of a 56plate C1 Rhythem, in metalic black + air con. Easily visable in any carpark, by the addition of roof bars + thule bike racks for my mountain bikes. Even with these on, the economy is still arround 62mpg.. My C1 aka (BOO) by my kids is the best car i've ever owned, i'm looking forward to the road tax drop in 2009, £20 for a whole years driving, it doesn't get any better.. Quote
downsman Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Welcome to the forum :D I'd never considered putting my mountain bike on the roof. What's the C1 like in a crosswind with them up there? Quote
Guest ctd Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Welcome to the forum :D I'd never considered putting my mountain bike on the roof. What's the C1 like in a crosswind with them up there? I've had my bikes on the roof for the past 12 months and experienced no problems in crosswinds. No more twitchy then without them. I swear by citroen's own roof bars and as for the thule bike racks, well, £83 each from halfords, but £57 each from the roofbox company.co.uk, plus a delivery charge making a pair £120 delievered and a £50 saving.. Martin_1973_uk Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The road tax in 2010 onwards gets even better a £0 :-) and no congestion charge as of October I've also heard but this hasn't been confirmed yet. Doesn't get cheaper than this. Quote
downsman Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks ctd, I'll have a look at that site :D Quote
