I've just bought a 04 reg c3 1.4 hdi desire with 54000 miles on the clock from a private dealer for £4500.

have a got a good deal car is great alot less to run than my last car (a mondeo). just £35 a year to tax and its ment to be going down to £20 a year in 2009. (my source is parkers price guide)

Didn't get a hand book or service history with it but it is a 1 owner from new car.

Hi Lee

I bought a C3 54 1.4i desire last week - like you I didn't get the handbook but the garage is getting me the service history as it's an ex-mobility car.

I've found out loads from this forum about the car even though I've had 5 Citroens in total!

My Friend had his Jan 05 C3 1.4HDi Desire on Motability only done 8,500 miles on it over the 3 years he owned it. Never let him down.

My C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive Sensodrive in going back to Motability on Monday with 21,700 miles on it. I will miss it hope my C2 1.6i 16v VTR Sensodrive will be just as good

Excellent choice of car. I've got an 03 plate example of that model with 70k on the clock and it's still giving me 60mpg week in, week out. With diesel at up to 122.9p a litre, every mile counts nowadays.

The 1.4 16V HDi is known to have a few issues, despite the extra horse power.

Welcome: Just become a member myself yesterday.

Hope you enjoy your C3 I hada 2005 xtr 1.4 hdi 16 valve done 50,000 miles three years except for the odd headlight bulb and a rear shock replace went like a dream and returned an overall 54 MPG, Tyres replaced at 44000miles and the front brakes had 50 % wear and the rear 30 %.

Like it so much Just purchased the C3 Chachet 1,4 HDI 70 BHP had it three weeks 1500 miles returned 64.1 mpg

Come October C3 congestion charge free once you pay £10 registration fee.

Yes the 1.4hdi 70bhp requires you to change gear a bit more but still really nice to drive.

Good luck with your.
