Looking at the spec for the SX makes me wonder why I Bought the Exclusive.
All I got was a few things extra

Alloys. which are hard to clean
extra draw under drivers seat
lights and mirrors in sun visor
cruise control. which I never use
child pack. No kids
Moduboard. which can be useful
leather steering wheel cover
1.6 engine. a little mor power
alarm.

I've just taken delivery of a Stop & Start. It seems to work quite well, starts really quickly.

The only drawback to me is the fact that you have to sit with your foot on the brake. As soon as you take it off the engine starts up. I hate being behind a driver that sits with their foot on the brake when you're queueing in traffic. Now here I am doing the same.

You can easily disable the function though, which I think I will do at night time.

Its got a parking sensor too which before I always thought was a waste of time but having used it a few times, saves craning your kneck round trying to judge the distance when reverse parking.

:o

Maybe it's a "safety" feature?

Does applying the handbrake keep the engine off?

No, whether the handbrake is on or off, when you take your foot off the footbrake, the engine restarts.

Having said that, you don't need to have the footbrake pressed down hard, it just needs slight pressure to keep the engine off.

Its certainly very slick the way it starts up though. In the time it takes to move your foot from the footbrake to the accelerator, the engine is up and running!
