Hi,

i'm sure there have been numerous posts on this subject but once i have ascertained whether my pum is a Lucas or Bosch i was thinking of running a mix of veggie oil and diesel (just been to the garage and its currently at 1.19 a litre).

just wondered if anybody has used this fuel mix succesfully on this engine/model - found lots of references to older vehicles with the 1.9 engine but very little relating to theids later model and anyone that has used this without problems.

citroen states 50/50 mix with every 3rd tank full being regular diesel. had to change a full set of injectors and a hp pump on a berlingo last week due to it being run on bio so would not recomend using it. dont think its worth the hassle for what you save in the long run. false economy imo.

£1.19! Bloody Luxury! Try £1.35! Then start whining! AND WE PRODUCE THE BLOODY STUFF HERE!

I'm an engineer. I work with Diesel engines and I wouldn't DREAM of putting veg oil in an HDi. You can if you want. Your (car's) funeral. Ain't worth it mate. New pumps cost £500!
