Guest Fiz Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to help with this. I have an M reg ZX (1.9 diesel, non-turbo) and I'm looking for a child car seat to fit it. The seat is for a 16 month old baby, so it's not the infant-carrier (rearward) type, but a forward-facing one. Have any of you used a seat like this in your ZX? If so, what was it?! Or did anyone get around the problem by changing the car seat buckles (is that even possible?!). Many thanks Fiz Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I'm not much up on kiddie seats these days (My lad's 20!) but as far as I know there are no "isofix" points in a ZX, It's too old. The only other thing you can do is buy a seat like the one we had all those years ago that had the car's seatbelt going round the seat as well as the child. This type of seat will fit any car. The belt could be adjusted for position with strong velcro fastenings so the seat was able to be used from toddler to about 5-6 YO. It had a removable (Velcro again) playtray that went across the arms in front of the child. Our lad loved it and created pink hell when he outgrew it! Best people to ask are Halfords or any other motorists store that supplies child seats. Cheers. Hope this helps you. :P Quote
