We have a 2.2 Petrol Exec (converted to LPG) and we are have numerous issues with it. Please can anybody advise if these are known issues or have expeienced a similar problem.

1. Lam senors been replaced twice as engine light coming up and error log showing anti pollution warning

ECU changed to try and rectify this issue, but warning light still on and we have given up trying to get it fixed. LPG issue?

2. Silver peeling and cracked on roof bars and boot handle, being investigated by dealer

3. Drivers Captain seats hole in fabric where you pull the handbrake up, hand brake been rubbing this away being investigated

4. Water pump failed and replaced

5. Heating now failed, no heat just cold air, booked in for investigation

The car is still under warranty, but it has only done 9,000 miles so I think I have a Friday afternoon car, as friends C8 has had no problems. Any help greatly received#

I have the peeling paint issue on all the chrome effect handles. It looks like a common problem. Not had the other problems though, but will now expect them at some point in the future :D

I had problems with the engine pollution warning it also resulted in a loss of power to the engine, it was put into the garage under warranty and the had great difficulty in fixing it. It was off the road for about 6 weeks and they subsequently replaced the turbo system and various other parts and it is now working. I dont know if this is the same problem you have encountered.

the chrome handles I had the same problem and was told that this was a defect in the manufacture they have been replaced with other handles non chrome.

Yup, we have had numerous problems with our C8 too. I won't list them all here, but we too have had 1) and 2), re 3) condition of our front seats is abysmal at 25,000 and just 3 years, but was almost as bad after the first year and 8000 miles. If your friend's C8 has had no problems I think they must have been very lucky, as so far as I can see most were built on a Friday, probably in the afternoon!!!!!
