Guest Hawki Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Hi, I'm new to the forum and I wondered if anyone has any advice about my problem. Bought a 05 C4 in Nov 2005. Second hand ex showroom. I didnt realise that the guaranteed was 3 years from first registration (03/03/05). My paperwork said 5 year warranty. However when I took my C4 into the dealer to have a look at some bubbling paintwork around the front citroen logo they said my guarantee had run out and they couldnt do anything about it? I bought the C4 from Wigan Citroen online. The paintwork has only recently started to bubble, I hadnt noticed it until the guy who did my MOT spotted it. Its not alot but its obviously a problem that needs sorting. Has anyone else had this problem. The paint is not coming off it is just bubbling? Any suggestions? Thanks Quote
GreedyPig Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 New Citroens come with a 3 year warranty, but your 'bubbling' sounds like a paint defect. New Citroens also come with a 12 year anti-corrosion warranty, subject to an inspection every two years from its fourth anniversary. As your car isn't even 4 years old yet, it wouldn't have undergone its inspection. It may be worth checking if this warranty is transferable. Bubbling from beneath the paintwork sure sounds like a defective paint process to me. Quote
