Hi Splinta!

When you say "cog" I assume you mean the reluctor ring on the outer CV joint. If your ring is still there but broken it's possible to do a repair with epoxy metal, literally glueing it back in place. Take the hub off for better access to the joint and clean everything up as well as you can and re-secure the ring back with a large hose clip to hold it in place while the epoxy sets.

However, the ring is likely to be in very poor condition and I know of a light engineering firm that are now producing replacement rings and you may want to go down that route instead. You'll find details at http://www.reluctorrings.com/ If you only want one or two (You may as well do both if you're planning on keeping the car) they're £39.99 each which is better than having to buy the entire shaft from Citroen for £200 plus, plus VAT!

Cheers Hope this helps
