Peasemold Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Has anyone managed to change a C3 headlight bulb on the battery side of the engine compartment? Either you need to get your 6 year old kid or a trained monkey to get their hand into the confined space or you need to take out the whole headlight assembly. Is it possible to easily remove the complete assembly, as I can't get my arthritic sausage fingers into the space to remove the connector. Even if I could, I don't like the thought of plugging in a connector blind. JPG  Quote
organist Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Can be done in situ - I've done it, but you need dexterous fingers (am a professional pianist and organist) to do it. A handbag mirror (NOT mine!!!) can help lots in the replacing of the bulb retaining clip. The connector is easy! Quote
Hans Freikit Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 It's certainly tricky - I've just tried this morning to replace the main beam (H1) bulbs on our C3. Driver's side was OK, but I found I had to remove the battery shroud to get at the passenger side. Then placed a large torch above the battery to light the space below. Even so, it was pretty tough, managed to put several dents in my left hand. It doesn't help that there's a very tightly fixed cable running past the back of that lamp unit. Best tip I can give - buy bulbs from Halfords and let their trained monkeys do the fitting for a couple of quid extra... HF Quote
