Guest Lancia Man Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Hi all, I bought a C1 1.0i Vibe 3dr back in 2005. I absolutly loved the car, it was good looking, economical and fun to drive. Then the door handle came off a month after i took delivery i had also noticed that bits of trim were missing. Went back to the dealer, the handle was done straight away but the trim was (and still is) on back order. Then the filler cap wouldnt close properly, that was another 2 days with out the car whilst the dealer sorted that. Then by 9k all 4 tyres needed replacing, i quizzed the dealer and was told it must be my fault. Strange how the replacements (non michlen have lots of tread after 25k). Then it started leaking rain, and still does. Then the gears became crunchy. Then the clutch went, i was told this wasnt covered, the engineer who looked at it however said it was a manufacturing defect and they should pay for it, that never happened. and to top it all off.....its going rusty!!!! Round the windscreen and bonnet. This was the 1st new car i ever bought after years of Lancia ownership and it has been the worst car i have ever had. The Lancia Beta saloon it was meant to put into retirement has been more reliable in 29 years than the C1 has been in 2 1/2 years. I thought Toyota build quality was good, what a joke!!! Quote
