Hi,

Thanks for looking and hope you can help or indeed if it helps you out.

Recently my 99 1.4i Xsara estate started to misfire fairly often when driving at a fairly low steady speed which would range around the 20 to 50mph.

Told it could be the spark plugs and put a set of Bosh plugs in which were set to 9mm (hope that's the correct gap?, that's the ones I was told I needed).

Here's how I made the change

Removed 2 x plastic pipes to allow removal of the "spark plugs housing"

Changed the plugs (bit af a hassle it must be said

Replaced the above

Started the car and reved it and it sounded great, however it wouldn't idle and now it just stalls. The way over this for now has been to slightly open the accelerator cable by means of placing a 3mm rubber wedge. Not ideal I know but it doesn't stall all the time now.

Please advise if there's anything I can do. Thanks
