Hi ,

I would like to know if it is possible to put bikes on the rear of the C1 , with only having a glass tailgate this may not be possible?

Thanks,

Paul

Welcome to the forum ;)

No, the back glass tailgate would be to frail to fit anything to.

I have the Agyo brochure in front of me right now and the accessories on page 21 have an aluminium roof rack that will take an optional bike holder, or ski holder, or surfboard holder.

Four fixings for roof rack, fitted to the groove on each side of the roof.

They only show one bike in the picture, so there may be a loading limit (not sure), you will have to ask your dealer.

No prices given, you will have to phone, and I assume Citroen will do the same bike rack, as its the same car.

Usually, the same accessories are different prices for the C1, Aygo and 107, so its worth shopping around.

I was going to suggest a tow bar + bike carrier, but the C1, 107 Aygo is not homologated for towing.

Looks like roof bars + bike carrier is the way to go. Best for weight distribution but not so good for aerodynamics.

The back window would probably fall off with anything other than the wiper attached! I don't think the hinges are built for extra weight.

Cheers

Hi, I carry two mountain bikes everywhere on the roof of my C1 Rhythum. The roof bars are from citroen ( about £65 doddle to fit yourself, theres a template provided to fit them accurately), and the bikeracks are Thule 592's, (again a doddle to fit, they lock to the bars and your bike locks to the rack). My bars and racks have been on the car since December, never been off, still getting 60+mpg and even with the bikes attached the cars handling doesn't seem affected.
