Steve928 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 52 plate 1.4hdi 16v diesel. I've had a thorough (undertray off) look for the container for the 'ecological' paper type oil filter insert that this engine uses, but embarassingly have turned up a blank. Could any kind soul point me in the right direction please? TIA. Quote
Hook Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 According to Haynes, it's in a housing on the front of the cylinder block. It also says you need to remove the air cleaner air intake ducts as necessary to gain access. Looks as though you work from above. Using a socket or spanner, unscrew the filter housingcover and remove the cover and filter element. Replace the filter and 'o' ring and replace the lot.Hope this helps.I'd recommend getting a manual, I got mine 2nd hand off Flea-bay; it's a godsend! Quote
Steve928 Posted May 22, 2008 Author Posted May 22, 2008 That's perfect - many thanks. I've removed the intake ducting and there it is indeed. Quote
