750Nig Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Well it still reflects ! Unfortunately the adjuster no longer moves the mirror glass, the mirror glass is pointing downwards so the driver only sees the road by the door flashing past. Went to the dealer yesterday, mine is the second one in two weeks (both 07 plates) he has seen with this prob. He reckons the cables have stretched. Personally I think the cables have come adrift. Once set we never moved the mirrors. He has ordered a new mirror. Should be here next week. Warranty job. Is this a bad batch ? Anyone else had the same issue ? Quote
ColinC1 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Never had that problem, but once adjusted, you do not need to do it again, if you are the only driver. As you say it will be the cables, usually they break or come undone in most makes of car, rather than stretch. Since you are under warrenty, let them sort it out, and in the meantime you can push the mirror itself using your fingers, into the position you want. You might need a bit of tape to hold position, so it does not drop a bit during travel. Quote

Yes the very same on my 57 plate they dont work at all they were fine until i folded them in a tight space car parking,i just adjust them by touching the mirrors as they are still solid and dont go loose.
