cleanawayrob Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 hi there ive got a 1994 xantia vsx td, just done front spheres. but my problem is when started it wont lift the rear unless i put it to the top height then drop it to normall. after abuot 10 mins the rear is on its arse again. any ideas what this could be, rear sink sphere or height corrector? red_dwarfers Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Welcome to the forum! I would be likely to suspect the rear height corrector, there is a nylon clip which maybe broken or need a clearout. If you have a search around on the forum there are guides about the plastic clip. Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Sorry I've not spotted this one earlier. My computer has been poorly! Yes it will be the small plastic link which goes between the lever on the roll bar and the height corrector. The balls which it clips onto wear and the link drops off. A recognised cure is to make a small "L" shaped piece of steel and tack weld it onto the height corrector arm to hold the link in place. Don't be too heavy with the mig as you may damage the corrector. A couple of light tack welds are enough. A new link is just pennies from Citroen. Cheers. Hope this helps :) Quote
