robertlynch84 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Hi the bottom half of the plastic stopper/handle on my dipstick has got stuck in the tube and I can't get it out! My car is a 1997 1.4i petrol. Apparently I should be able to unscrew the tube at the top and just pull it out of the sump then use a coat hanger or something to puch the stuck plastic out. I'm just worried that I won't be able to get the tube back in to the sump afterwards. Should this be pretty simple or am I wasting my time trying? Cheers. Quote
robertlynch84 Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 If anyone was interested I managed to get the tube out by undoing the bolt at the top and then wiggling a lot. Once out I pushed a wire coat hanger through it, pushing out the stuck plastic. It was then just a case of wiggling the tube back into the hole it came out of. Fairly easy really. Quote
