chrisjy Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 B) Just got ready to pick up my new second hand c3 got a phone call from the dealer they have put petrol in instead of diesel!!!Cant have the car now til tommorow,they have said that there is no problem just need to drain the fuel tank and put a new fuel filter in.Is this true or could there be more problems? Diesels pink (pre detonate) a bit with petrol and then stop dead so it's impossible to cause any further damage.They will go through the process properly and you won't notice anything different. There are loads of people who make the same mistake and they still drive around with no further problems.the worst case scenario is that it might be a little bit smokey for a few hours and the odd occasional chug but thats it. It will soon be back to it's normal self. B) Quote
