rogerde Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Hi, new to this so here goes. I have a axsara Picasso (52) plate.I'm looking into fitting a CD changer, but do not no were to start. I need some answers to some questions.1: Which CD changer do i have to fit, or can i just put in anyone.2: where do i put CD changer and where does cable go from changer to head unit.I'v pulled out head unit and wrote everything down off the label, so if anyone can give me some advice on this subject please let me no what info you need off the unit. The head unit has a button for CD changer and there is an extra multi plug connection in the back of the unit.Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Rogerde Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Hi Rogerde. Sorry it's taken a while to get a reply to your question. I don't look at tyhe ICE section very often. I also have a Xsara Picasso and I got round the Autochanger problem by fitting an Xcarlink MP3 player which makes the head unit think it's a changer. Details can be found here. http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/home.php?cat=12 I have had mine for some time now and I'm very pleased with it. The sound quality is excellent and, best of all, no moving parts! There's plenty of info on the bespoke Picasso site which you'll find here.http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/index.php?showtopic=14072 Cheers. Hope this helps. :D Quote

berlingomulti Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 The other option if you have the standard head unti that comes with the car is buy the cd changer of citroen, it is over priced I hasten to add, I would go with the Sony cd changer to be honest, you can pick them up off ebay for next to nothing now...
