hertsnminds Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 If you leave the drivers seat belt off you get a warning light on the dashboard. If you drive over 5mph with the belt still off you get a warning chime. The idea of this is that it is very annoying and you put the belt on. However, there are times when you may want to drive with the belt off (not on a public road of course) if you are manouvering around a car park for example. Simple way to turn off the chime, push the seat belt release button...silence. Why pushing a button that undoes the belt should cancel the warning I don't know, but it works. CE08LDB Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 same on my brothers C3 but Citroen has now caught on and it can't be turned off on C3s made from 2005. If you are driving with it off it can still beep for upto 2 miles on the C3s made from 2005 Quote
organist Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 You could always plug the belt in behind you and then sit on the seat - used to do that on the Volvo I had (long before seat-belts became compulsory!) Quote
