Can anybody offer any advice ?

The drivers side armrest went limp............no it does not need a little blue tablet......... :o

On closer inspection the plastic tube that goes inside the the side of the drivers seat has broken in two.

I wandering whether you could purchase such a part, or is there any easy fix ?

At the moment as soon as i touch it the armrest fall off as there is no plastic to hold it

regards

This could get messy,

Simple answer is to register on one of those breaker web sites like www.Find-A-Part.com and try to explain the make, model and trim level of your C5 and wait for some one to email back if the part is available, or get down to a citreon garage and pay over the odds or try this hard repair that may as I suggested can get messy,You will need to undo the seat lining and remove the plastic connector, I have had the same problem, but with a bit of determination, I managed to use long screws about 3/16 X 13/4 plus also you may need to fashion a metal tube to go over this part to maintain ridgity... hope this helps
