Guest PhilGBY Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Can anyone help. I have a damaged locking wheel bolt on a front wheel C5 52 plate.Any ideas how to remove it and does anyone know a supplier of replacements without the standard citroen heads as the holes in the stud seem a bit suspect. Guest Colin Hunter Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Hi Phil. Go to an engineering supplier and ask them for a set of (I forget the name) "things that will remove broken studs, rounded nuts etc". They are like a socket with teeth if you get me. You put them on the nut (or whatever) and as you try to loosen the offending article the teeth bite into it and the harder you turn the harder they grip. Regarding replacements, I'm not sure if they're still available, but I remember buying a set of wheel nut locks (For my JPS Capri with Ford RS Alloys, wish I still had it!). They had a sleeve which went over the (slightly different supplied) nut and locked on with a key. When you opened them the sleeve came off and the standard size nut/bolt was there to be taken off with the normal wheel brace. You could always ask at Halfords or similar. I seem to remember that's where I got mine all those years ago! Cheers. Hope this helps. :) Quote
