Hi, I have been looking at buying a new car for a while, I have researched many different convertibles etc and the c3 pluriel fitted all that I was looking for and could afford. After many long hours searching I found exactly what I wanted: a 2006 in Silver and got a great deal. The lady I bought it from Had not used it as a convertible so we had a play with retracting the roof etc but now (2days later) I am home (even though it has not stopped raining! and with all the instructions) I am still struggling to close the roof back up once I have retracted the back window into the boot. Any help tips etc would be very appreciated! Also I know about ebay but anywhere else that sells second hand parts such as the rain cover arch stands etc would also help!

Many thanks

Not 100% sure what you're asking so hopefully i'll be telling you something useful!... when you're putting the roof back up and out from the boot you just have to make sure everything is closed properly and make sure the engine is on [or at least the battery]. the roof is electric and won't close without the key being in and on.

I will try [if i can!] to explain how to shut it...

open boot and swing out/raise up the roof section [which should have been swung under into the boot if you've opened it and stored it properly]. The boot is a 2 part system- you open the top flap before you can open the lower flap- the roof is folded onto this upper flap. when you swing it back up it should be in the "open" position- much like when you were opening the boot normally sans roof! make sure you hear it click properly back into position. Now- you can shut the lower section or leave that open- doesn't matter, the roof will retact whether the lower flap is shut or not (i think!!). but remember that this upper section is heavy with the roof on it, so you will have to hold it up/open if you choose to shut the lower section. then shut the upper section and give it some gusto- make sure it shuts properly! the way i check is by shutting the lower section at the same time and try to lock it- if it locks then it's shut properly. if it just clicks and unlocks again then something isn't right and you need to try again- maybe even as far back as the first steps. if you manage to succeed then proceed to turn the roof control (this is another way to check it's engaged properly cause it won't return if it's not shut properly!). the final close is done by pushing and holding the roof control in.

hope this makes sense and helps!

To add to what Nikkie said: As you fold out the cassette from the boot, be sure to check that as the leading edge reaches the arches the corners engage properly where the channels are. Then as you start to close the rear screen, press the rear edge forwards at the same time to make sure the corners remain engaged. You do need to have the igntion on to close the roof.

There is a concertina leaflet called 'Modularity Guide' which actually has a dedicated home in the underside of the parcel shelf, but is more likely to be found with the handbook. Once learned the process is much quicker than the leaflet would suggest!

Your best bet is ebay for the accessories you require, as I suspect that we all feel the need for these, but don't actually use them much in the end, so second hand is good value.
