RobDob Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Hello all, I have stumbled across this forum after encountering a problem with my '03 Pluriel and am hoping someone may be able to help. In short, the battery died due lights being left on. The car was bump-started and then everything went weird. All electrics went screwy & nothing worked. The car wouldn't go above 10 mph. We took it to a friends garage and charged the battery & plugged it into a diagnostic machine. Cleared the faults and all was tickety-boo, except the roof & boot. Both roof & boot won't open but everything else electrical works fine. All fuses are intact too. Any suggestions are gratefully received! Many thanks Rob Quote
Guest ausbinny Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I just had the exact same problem and hopefully my answer will also be your solution I had been having trouble with "gear box malfunction" on the display (sensodrive) which I came to the conclusion was low battery voltage (was @ 12V) I let the battery disconnected overnight and then replaced with a new battery in the afternoon (which fixed the gearbox :( ) but then the boot lid would not open (or the roof) Solution: with the roof switch in the closed position (even though the roof was already closed and switch in closed position) push the switch in to close the roof (mine moved about 2mm in) - I then checked the boot lid and all good  Hope it works for you too :D Quote
fwd Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I just had the exact same problem and hopefully my answer will also be your solution I had been having trouble with "gear box malfunction" on the display (sensodrive) which I came to the conclusion was low battery voltage (was @ 12V) I let the battery disconnected overnight and then replaced with a new battery in the afternoon (which fixed the gearbox :) ) but then the boot lid would not open (or the roof) Solution: with the roof switch in the closed position (even though the roof was already closed and switch in closed position) push the switch in to close the roof (mine moved about 2mm in) - I then checked the boot lid and all good  Hope it works for you too :D Thank you 'ausbinny' - a few days ago the battery went flat (car had stood unused for well over 2 weeks in this cold spell!!), managed to get the battery charged up and the car up and running ok. Went down in it to the shops today and hey presto... boot would not open - not wanting to play around in the supermarket's car park, so loaded the shopping into the car and drove home. Suspecting a fuse/relay problem, looked in the handbook and could not find anything so a little bit of 'tinternetting' brought me back here 2 years on!!! Your tip did the trick - THANK you for sharing it... :) Quote
