jazzyj2000uk Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 hi i need help lol, i have purchased a 2nd hand citroen c2 1.1 3 door hatch (2005) and it is a great little car amazing to drive and such an improvement on the saxo we have just sold, anyway as the car came with a very basic tape deck i decided to upgrade the existing unit to a cd/mp3 player with built in bluetooth for the mobile, so i invested £189.99 in a brand spanking new pioneer deh p85 bt and wow what a piece of kit, when purchasing the unit from ebay i was told i shouldnt have much of an issue fitting the unit which with the correct adaptors is litterally plug and play, and to be honest it is, i purchased the unit then researched the correct lead i would need,it was a connect 2 lead with built in stalk adaptor controls for the can bus wiring system and works welli have all the controls the tape deck had and sounds fantastic even with the standard speakers, anyway to the point, the issue i have is with the head up display the second lights on the clock are flashing but the time doesnt roll on? if i get in the car at 10.00am and drive for 2 hours the clock still says 10.00am? also if i start the car before i close the door the door open warning stays on?now if i press either of the buttons on the head up section on the dash the time reverts to the correct time?? but then still doesnt roll on?? also when i put the brake on coming to a junction this causes the volume to drop?? now after speaking to a mate he had the same issues with a berlingo van?? but he cant remember how he managed to resolve this issue, i have also spoken to an auto electrician who said '' no idea mate sorry'' i have spoken to a couple of other people and they seem to think there is a dash reset code you can put in which will then re-set the head up display so it will work?i even went to citroen and they said yeah we can sort it no problem just takes 2 mins to do but its going to cost you £47.00 for half an hour?? i said great no problem sort it,then the citroen tech guy comes out n says oh i think i can fix the problem but if it doesnt work its still going to cost you for 30 mins and at £47.00 i wasnt willing to take the risk if he couldnt sort the fault? especially for 2 mins work??i am sure the can bus wiring system is all singing and all dancing but it seems to be causing more issues for me than a few?one extremely frustrated c2 owner......if anyone has any ideas or can tell me the code? if there is one ?or is in the nottinghamshire area and fits steroe's that can sort this i am more than happy to pay for the issue to be resolved (within reason)i am sure i am not the only person having problems with an aftermarket unit? anyone else?? answers on a postcard please lol thanks for reading and if i do get it resolved i will post a how to section lol jazz Quote
