Trafficmaster- How Do I Turn It Off Permanently!

I have a 2000 X Xantia 2.0HDi which I have bought with a Licence Expired Trafficmaster and it keeps telling me, every time I drive, to immediately ring their Office and pay them.

I don't want it - so how do I shut it up - PERMANENTLY?

I dont mean reset the thing each time I switch on the ignition, - there must be a way of turning it OFF.

I live in Shetland where there are NO motorways and the Trafficmaster in my Xantia drove me nuts for 6 YEARS! saying I had "3 days credit remaining " every time I turned the car off and on again. I found it a pain in the arse and I'm glad my Picasso doesn't have it. It may be of some use to somebody somewhere, but it's no use to me!
