Martin_1973_uk Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 They are great fun aren't they :) I enjoy watching drivers of much faster cars failing to lose mine on country roads :o I remember when I had my MR2 and the amount of boys in their Fiestas etc who thought they were keeping up with and racing me. I never gave them the satisfaction. If a family saloon was really racing against our C1's we would soon be left in the dust. Lets make no bones about it, they are great cars, cheap to run but they are certainly not fast. Give faster cars the respect they deserve. Welcome new member. I'm sure you'll realise that the C1 is a great little car and I can't understand why they are not more popular....... Quote

I'm sure you'll realise that the C1 is a great little car and I can't understand why they are not more popular....... You misunderstand me. Only an imbecile would say that a 1.0l car on 155 tyres is faster than a 2.0l on 205s! What I'm saying is that they are fun to drive in an enthusiastic way, and most drivers never use more than 25% of their cars abilities. Consequently, a briskly (not dangerously) driven C1 can leave some dawdling drivers of much faster cars behind :) Quote
CE08LDB Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 My Sisters Saxo 1.1i Desire gave my C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive SensoDrive a run for its money a few times. Quote
Big Mac Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Well Thanks for the warm welcome. i've just de-badged the Bug at the back, taken off the bump strips both sides and put some silver indicator bulbs in the front. That together with the front fog/spoiler kit and rear spolier, it's looking good. What next i wonder? Think i'll try and get silver fog/brake/indicator bulbs for the back now. :D I'll put some pics up soon. Mac Quote
Martin_1973_uk Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Out running a C3 isn't something to brag about, lol. The C1 is a fantastic value car but pure engine speed and grip is something even I can admit it has. I have been given a 2.0 6 Speed diesel Mondeo from work. I'm very impressed by the speed but would have the C1 anyday over the Ford. Firstly the C1 is a third of the price and it just feels a nicer place to be in, fresher. Secondly the build quality on the Ford is appaling in comparison. If they just advertised the C1 better they could make so many more and sell them all. Quote
