Guest postmanpat Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 HiI need some advice regarding my 55 reg Multispace 1.6 Hdi, if possible. I ran out of deisel earlier this evening, (long story), and the little dashboard warning light in the shape of an engine came on. To cut an even longer story short, I put some fuel in, primed the engine and it started more or less straight away. Then, I drove straight to the nearest garage and filled up. Although the engine is running fine now, the light won't go off. Should the light go off on it's own, or is there a procedure for re-setting it? My hand book says the light indicates a problem with the injection system, (which I suppose running out of deisel is), the ignition system or the emissions system. There weren't any problems prior to it running out of fuel, and there don't appear to be any problems with it now that it has fuel. Thanks in advance for any advice. PP Quote

I bought one of those OBD11 code readers off ebay. The two faults shown on the reader were consistent with running out of deisel, so I deleted them and the light has gone out. Quote
