I have a 2.0 litre HDi Hatchback 04 plate, and am contemplating installing the CITROEN USB/MP3 Interface Model V from XCarLink, but my problem is how do I get the front of the radio/cd facia off?

All replies are greatly appreciated

Hi

Is this a pre-"facelift" model with the din size radio and an oval button either side? If so, it's pretty easy.

Around the 2 buttons (locking and night driving panel light) there are covers which can be prised off with a screwdriver. Then you have 2 torx headed screws to undo, and the radio slides out.

Can you give me some information on the MP3 unit? I have an aftermarket radio which plays MP3 discs, but the remote controls and display screen don't work with it.

Thanks

Just had a look at Xcarlink model v on the internet - it's a solid state device , not for me. I'm looking for a disc-based player, or a way to fully integrate my existing MP3 disc player/radio

Godd luck anyway.

I was hoping to include a photo of the facia but am not sure how to upload the image,

the radio/cd has round buttons on either side of the cd slot not oval, and 2 holes underneath about an Inch and a half below the buttons.

On removing the radio does it slide out and then disconnect the power cables, and if so does the radio have to be re-coded on reinstalling, as I have not been supplied with any sort of codes, with the XCarLink all I have to do is connect to the CD changer port - if it has one?

Any further ideas?

Sounds like you've got the later type, like the link below, and I don't know how those come out, sorry.

Is there anybody else out there who can help me, I've looked at the link above and my radio/cd is exactly the same as that one.

I only want to know how to take it out.
