Dashboard Bulb Replacement

The illumination on the central display (radio/temp/mpg etc) has cut out. I assume this is a case of replacing the capsule bulbs but I'll be damed if I can find a way in. Please tell me I dont have rip out the dash to change the bulb/s. Any sugestions welcome, it is a minor fault I know but very irritating. :unsure:

Hi mate

 

Very easy job to do, The little plastic surround just clips out ( i used a normal table knife ) via two small clips either side of the lcd display, once this is out you have two small torx screws, one either side holding the unit in place. Unscrew the two screws and the unit comes out towards you, at the back of the unit you will see 3 small bulb holders these come out by turning anticlockwise half a turn and the bulbs are available from halfords or somewhere cheaper. Make sure you replace all three bulbs.

I was heading in that direction, but now I know where to poke my kitchen knife I shall attack the surround with more gusto. Cheers.
