A Couple Of Problems

hi

 

we have just bought a 2001 (y) xsara 1.4lx 55,000 miles and we are having a few problems. it has part service history

 

 

1. the clutch doesnt seem right when you press it in you cant get the bite it just springs back out

 

2. the petrol gauge is acting weird, we put £20 of petrol in the other day and it went over half way then the next day it was down to under a 1/4 then later on in the day it went back upto 1/2 way?

 

3. sometimes the alarm keeps going off at random (evenings and early hours of the morning) we used to use the key fob to cancel it no joy still happenend then we just used the key to look the door no joy so we just leave it open

 

any help would be grateful

 

also were can i get a facia for an after market cd payer we have the long oblong lcd display contacted citroen about this and they wanted £78 :D

I've always had the same problems with mine... Its seems like the petrol gauge only works twice after filling up...when its full and when its empty! And the spring is too strong on the clutch so I sometimes end up with no power as I pull off in first as it doesn't disengage properly, as you can't raise the pedal properly. I've seen some after market facia kits, they were about what you said, but you get the whole area around the stereo and steering wheel. Might be able to get them in seperate peices....
