clanixion Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 As the nights are getting darker, I noticed that the interior lights were not coming on when I was opening the doors. So I call up Belmont Citroen and they tell me to bring it on in. After a day's investigation, they tell me that the BSI unit is faulty and can I bring the Bling back in next week. During this time I notice that the brake lights aren't working and tell them. They say this is probably the BSI unit and all will be well when the new unit is fixed. The new unit is fitted, the interior lights now work but the the brake lights are still inop and there is now a bleeping coming from somewhere in the dash. I take the Bling back to them and they say that there is nothing wrong with the brake lights and the bleeps are from the new BSI unit which can't recognise my non-standard radio unit. I suspect that they have realised that they forgot to plug in the brake light connector and bluffed their way out of it as the brake lights were working when I left the dealer. Wrong ! By the time I had got home, the brake lights were gone again. So back I trot today and Belmont eventually admit that there is a fault in the brake light switching circuit and replace the switch. Not bad - it took only three attempts for them to get my brake lights working. Quote
