The dipped beam warning light is in the habit of flashing on my Xsara.

When this happens, the headlights themselves are automatically switched on.

This happens while actually driving. It lasts for about 10 seconds or until I lightly touch the light control stalk.

I don't think it's telling me to switch my lights on because it happens in broad daylight.

But it's very disconcerting that such a thing could happen outside my control.

Other drivers might think I'm inviting them to pull out in front of me.

Does anyone know about this feature ?

Hello Micheal.

It's not a "Feature"! I suspect your lighting stalk is faulty. It may well be making contacts outwith your control. Check it out with your local dealer. It may be a reasonably cheap fix. If the part is exorbitant from them, try Ebay or Breakers web.

Just an afterthough though! Is it a POSH model with auto lights etc?

Cheers. :(
