The spring in my key fob seems to have lost the will to live. When I pressed the little silver button the business end of the key failed to swing out at all, leaving me with no way of starting the car. I found the other key, in which the spring also seems strangely less than enthusiastic, although the key does come out.

Back home, I managed to coax out the first key with a screwdriver, but the spring is clearly unhappy. This is a nuisance, since I now have either an awkward undocked key in my pocket, or worse, one that has docked itself and refuses to come out again.

The car is just under two years old, and the keys have not seen that much action.

Any ideas?
