hi

i have a spare ipod and was hoping to install into my C5 Mk1 Vtr

Had a look at the xcarlink but looking more closely on the web stie the menu system it describes really isn't a great GUI and i can't imagine i'd enjoy using it.

Does the citroen usb box allow for a better user experience or does anyone know another product that would be or is better?

Not sure if the Citroen USB box would be compatible with mark 1 C5- check with your dealer.

came across Nexxia.co.uk who seem a likely candidate for an adapter, but i'm curious to know how i determine what version of factory fitted unit i have in the car. Do i have to prise off the surround or will the owner manual for the stereo tell me?

cheers

I have thought about the USB for my C6. I have tried wireless adaptors that broadcast through spare radio channels and none really work. I have connected the ipod with a proper ipod cable to the three socket adaptor in the glove box but the ipod will only work (brilliantly) when the car is not moving.
