Guest Playboi Soldier Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Hi everyone, recently i bought a new Citroen c3 and it had so many problems. They have been fixed but some thing's are still in process. The power steering works sometimes but then it goes again. The speedometer stays on 0mph http://i32.tinypic.com/2z5n49e.jpg and a few other lil things, does anyone know how to fix these ? Quote
iannez Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 you have a speed signal fault. if the steering ecu does not detect vehicle speed when the revs are above 2000rpm it shuts the steering down. they need to be checking the wiring to the abs ecu and the abs ecu itself. the speed reading is an average taken from the 4 abs sensors. you will have 2 signal wires from the bsi to the engine ecu and so far down the wires is a splice to the abs ecu. had a few where the spliced wires to the abs ecu have gone down. ukstocks5 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Anyone ? Still with the problem ! its real bad, waiting for a little of cash to come in, just in case it costs a lot for repairinsert key into ignition and then turn key till the lights come on but not to start the engine, do this 3 times i think it is and it is supposed to reset the brain in the cars computer, i had the same steering problem that one minute it was ok then it would go very very heavy without warning and i was told to do this, it did help me but the steering did go again now and then but it seems to have gone away lately, touch wood.
