I have an intermittent problem on a 2002 Citroen C3 1.4 HDi SX. The car engine cuts out while driving and have since isolated this to it happening once engine reaches 3000rpm. Thought it was a possible security issue with key fob but have since seen it on both keys and after re-initaillising the ECU.

Car always restarts after cutout! Used to stall while changing gears originally but now it seems that the increased engine speeed was the problem. Looks likeI need the diagnostics read ...just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Car was serviced just 2000 miles back and seems ok otherwise. 65000 miles on clock.

So if I start the car and rev it up slowly, now it always fails once it hits 3000rpm...just cuts out and engine ligt comes on. Start again immediately and it is fine as far as I don't rev the engine. Now it is reproduceable.... last week it wasnot.

Had Citroen look at diagnostics and shows nothing! Says intermittent fault and they couldn't replicate problem. May be a speed sensor.

Found PO654 and PO339. Int fault, signal short between two wires or open circuit. I asked for the Speed sensor to be replaced. Fault has not re-occured for 2 weeks now so we may have found it.
