Had clutch cable & plastic clip changed a year or so back so clutch is fairly light & smooth, but still experiencing stiff/Clunky gear change. The gears don't crunch, but you have to be precise with the gear stick for them to operate properly.

The gear shift has a gritty, almost un-lubricated sound/feel, but there was gear oil present on the last check. Maybe linkeage problems ?

Any ideas folks ?

Hi! Sorry it's taken so long for you to get a reply. Yes it's very likely that this is due to a dry linkage. If you look down the bulkhead towards the gearbox side of the car you will be able to see the gear linkage bushes. If you can drop some oil onto them without removing anything from above then do so. It will make a big difference. The best long term solution would be to replace them. There is also another bush on the bottom of the gear lever which may need to be lubed or replaced.

Cheers. Hope this helps. :(
