Guest kentzsaraman Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Hello the power steering has failed on my xsara1.4lx Just wonder if hitting the power steering pump would help (its been suggested by someone!!!) also where the pump actually is as i cant find it. The revs used to rise when stationary turning the wheel but now the revs dont change and its like steering a tank...also any recommendations if it is the pump the best place to get new one fitted and how much i'm liable to shell out Many thanks KZM (next cars not going to be a citroen)..this ones had too many gremlins Quote
iannez Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 the top pully runs the power steering pump. it has a black plastic reservoir on top of it with a red steering wheel on the filler cap. bottom left of engine as you look at it. pumps on older models are in the same place but have the reservoir fitted to the inside of the drivers wing. just follow the feed pipe to the pump.
