johntom Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Hiour 54 reg berlingo hdi has an intermittant fault which throws up the engine management light and limp mode. Basically it splutters for a second or so every now and then (never from cold - only after a short stop), which brings on limp mode, which then clears/resets after a restart. The citroen diagnostics said it was the fuel regulator which has now been changed (the one on the engine) however 4 weeks later the problem has returned. Is there another regulator on the pump itself, and where is the pump located? Just wondering if you ever solved this issue? Have just bought a Berlingo Multispace 2.0 HDI on a '54 plate and getting intermittant fault with engine management light coming on. Keeps going no problem and no derate or limp mode. Has been back to the Cit. dealership where I had it from and after a diagnostic hook up they describe it as a "phantom fault" with no actual positive indication of what is wrong. Just hope the new motor is not going to be a P.I.T.A...... Quote
