Guest AJD Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Hi allCar: C4 Coupe 2.0 HDiDue to a (continuing) problem with a serious lack of power, Citeron have replaced both my turbo unit and the electro valve. On both occasions, there was a temporary restoration of power, but on each, it soon reverted to what it was. The EV was changed out a couple of months ago. I took the car back last week and pleaded with them to find out what the problem is. They kept it for 2 days and came back to say the electrovalve was totally waterlogged and needed replacing! Having spent £150 on a new one a few months back, this didn’t go down to well with me. They are now saying the water has got into the valve because there are various water seals and covers (including the top engine cover and weather sales below the windscreen all of which were missing). My question is, can anyone tell me, what seals, covers, protection etc. needs to be removed to allow either the turbo or electro valve to be replaced. My understaning is the EV is located at the rear of the engine? (don’t know where the turbo resides). I think Citeron are trying to pull a fast one here as when I got the car back from its first electro valve job, THEY forgot to put the engine cover back on and when I complained, they just fitted a dirty 1.6 engine cover (there were also components not bolted back in place and a metal bracket had been dropped behind the radiator). Im beginning to think they gave me the car back without any form of checking the job was fully done!. Quote
