Guest citrophile Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hi All Wife has a 56 plate VTR which has done around 50k so not high mileage (mainly school run stuff) but over the past few months the leather on the steering wheel has started to ripple and the surface is starting to peel away in very thin threads. Anybody else come across this? and is there a solution which doesn't involve a new steering wheel cos I bet they're expensive and fiddly to change with the airbag etc etc. Thanks Rob Quote

CE08LDB Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 My Wheel did the same on my old 2005 C3 Exclusive at only 22,000 miles. My brothers old 2006 C3 Exclusive did as well his only did 33,700 Quote
arrows Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I have a 56 plate 1.6 HDI Exclusive, mine is also peeling, its done 45000 miles. Initially I thought the mechanic had scratched it with a screwdriver or something similar but I have now noticed it happening in other places. I just hope it lasts long enough until I replace the car. Quote
