navi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Recently had trouble with central locking on C3. Sometimes I found the car unlocked, and other times when I used fob to unlock the central locking the boot lid would pop up. Citroen wanted £45 to diagnose fault and repair costs on top. Set about it myself, and found that the little plastic plate you touch, when you put your fingers into the tailgate handle/latch was stuck up on one side. This therefore was making a contact all the time. To check this out, should you develop the same fault, raise the hatch and listen when you gently push the plastic strip up. You wil need to do this on the right and left side of plastic strip. If there is no clicking sound on one side then it is stuck up making contact. Remedy, you can either use WD40 or pull hatch lining out and remove handle and ease location of the plastic strip. Hatch trim comes out easily. I did the later and now have no problems with central locking. Very poorly made switching device. Hope this helps. navi Quote
