Guest wullawulla Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Im having problems with my y reg 1.9 berlingo. When the weather is hot the engine does not run even. My mechanic put it on diagnostics and it said there was a problem with the air flow meter. Has any one had this problem as he says that it may not actually be the problem. The engine runs as sweet as a nut when it is cold and all through the winter it ran great but now the hot weather is here when the engine gets hot it runs very erratically. When you start it hot it wobbles and rattles but starts and then the revs are really low sometimes as low as 6 on the counter so more revs are need to set off and when driving the engine sounds like it is missing on a cylinder. When engine has cooled off it is lovely to start and drive again until it gets hot again. The temperature runs usually between quarter and half on the dial but when it is hot it runs at half and the fan kicks in if it goes over half but this does not stop engine from running funny. Has any one had these same problems. I dont want to have to get rid of it as I love my Berlingo!!! Quote
